… and by that I mean the past two weeks.
It started with a weeks holiday in the beautiful Peak District

Where it rained some of the time.
|Crich Tramway Museum in the cold and wet|
But not every day, we did manage to get out on the bikes a few times before…..

… Will got sick the day before we came home.
Which coincided with the day that the ladies from the East Midlands Modern Quilt Guild were having a get together a few miles from where we were staying. By the powers of Instagram, they had very kindly invited me to pop over and say “Hi!” so I did. Not wanting to pass up the opportunity of finally meeting Ange, my very first bloggy friend, and many more people I ‘know’ online before Fat Quarter Retreat in July – Kerry, Lynne, Trudi, Mandy and so many more (I’m sorry ladies I can’t remember everyones names), I gatecrashed their meeting for an hour. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming (even though I looked throughly bedraggled and like I’d been pulled through a hedge backwards!) Thank You, Thank You!!!
Oh, and just to share, Will being ill made for a very interesting drive home last Sunday!
I’m pleased to report that today he was finally well enough to go back to school – phew!
Whilst Will has been watching episodes of Scooby Doo from his position on the sofa, I’ve managed to get some sewing time in. My Aeroplane Bag is done! More details to follow in the next couple of days.
Between holidays and mummy duty, I’m behind with emails, blog posts, blog reading, Instgram, Flickr – thank goodness I don’t bother with Facebook or Twitter yet!
This weekend you will find me sat at my computer and maybe starting on my bee blocks or the name tag for Fat Quarter Retreat. Happy Weekend!!
